Jaguar uses the TOPIx information system for factory service information. This includes diagnostic troubleshooting guides as well as technical specifications. Our tooling allows us to interact with Jaguar vehicles and monitor the onboard systems so that we can verify the vehicle is operating as desired. If we notice any abnormalities, we can make the adjustments or repairs necessary to return the vehicle to "fresh-off-the-line" performance.
COMMON ISSUES
An interesting issue that affects Jaguar 4.2L cylinder heads is the possibility that the factory bolts will not fit through the factory cylinder head. This was caused by a design update and the conflicting specifications for engineering. The solution is to enlarge the cylinder head bolt holes but this is a delicate procedure. It should only be attempted by professionals and the surfaces should be cleaned thoroughly before installation so as to not introduce any debris inside the engine.
